Sunan International Airport (IATA: FNJICAO: ZKPY) is the main airport serving Pyongyang, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, located 24 km from the city’s center.

Sunan has two runways, the largest of which (01/19) is used mainly for international flights. The second runway (17/35) is used for domestic and civil flights[citation needed]. The airport’s hours of operation are from 06:00 to 22:00 in the summer and 07:00 to 21:00 in the winter[citation needed].

The airport is the main hub of Air Koryo. In 2000, Aeroflot discontinued its weekly Moscow flight due to poor loads. China Southern Airlines, which offered scheduled charter flights to and from Beijing during the peak season only, permanently pulled its flights in November 2006. In April 2008, Air China has reestablished service to Beijing, 3 days per week. Mandarin Airlines offers group tour chartered flights between Taipei and Pyongyang during summer (June to August)[citation needed]. Korean Air and Asiana Airlines also provide chartered flight services to Incheon, the international airport serving Seoul, and Yangyang on the east coast of South Korea from Pyongyang. These flights are used by Korean family members visiting divided family across the border.

You saw this happening too often in fairy tales and no child is ever going to be amazed by it. But in reality? Well, that is what the builders of the new modular homes have succeeded in doing. So from now on if you find some big furnished mansion on a slot you saw empty just the yesterday, don’t run to your shrink, fearing something is terribly wrong with you because that is what recently happened with a snow-covered Bethesda plot. In 32 hours the Haven home crews built up or rather, put together a sprawling country mansion, complete with six bedrooms and six-and-half bath on it. It is really like untangling a jigsaw puzzle. The blocks of home are carried from afar and a gigantic crane places those blocks in their rightful slots. To see how this is done, visit http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/video/2010/03/03/VI2010030302562.html The whole thing saves some money and certainly, a lot of time. You tell the designers about the way you want your house to look and they design them for you. Next the blocks are built according to the designs and then transported to the slot you want your home to be. That is the brand-new insta-home for you. You can choose from a variety of modular home designs, procedures and rates, from different farms. Like Ideabox has its new Fortino model, a two-bedroom, two-bath, 1,250 square-foot home that sells for about $150,000. Or KRDB Ma, energy-efficient modular homes that will be available nationwide and start at $125 per square foot. Jacob B. Nodarse, who police considered the “prime suspect” in the triple murder case involving a family in Darien, Ill. was taken into custody at his parents’ house in Florida Wednesday afternoon, according to The Chicago Tribune.

Nodarse, 23, was found asleep inside a minivan outside the home of Lehigh Acres near Fort Myers about 3 p.m., reports the Tribune. He is in prison on an obstruction of justice charge, but may face additional charges in connection with the murders of Jeffrey Kramer, 50, Lori Kramer, 48, and their son Michael, 20, according to the newspaper.

Police were on the look-out for Nodarse, who had been seen operating a blue BMW coupe and reportedly had family members living in the Fort Myers and Miami areas, the Tribune reports.

It’s still unclear as to what the motive was surrounding the murders at the Kramer household.

On Tuesday, police were called to the 8900 block of Kilkenny Drive in Darien when the Kramers’ daughter called 9-1-1 from a closet inside the home after hearing shots fired, the Tribune reports. The girl’s parents and brother were found dead at the house.

Here is NBC Chicago video of Nodarse’s arrest:

“The Partridge Family” star David Cassidy has issued a public plea for his former TV sister Susan Dey to get in touch, following years of estrangement from the actress.

The pair starred together in the beloved 1970s sitcom, where Dey played eldest daughter Laurie Partridge – but she was noticeably absent when the cast reunited on the “Today” show on Tuesday morning.

When asked about Dey’s absence, former child star Danny Bonaduce joked, “The only way you can reach Susan Dey is by teleprompter.”

But Cassidy took a more heartfelt approach and turned to the camera to reach out to his former close pal and co-star.

He added, “I don’t know (where she is). I loved Susan. I haven’t seen her in years. She became a very close friend of mine. I felt like she was a sister – she was two years younger than I. If you’re out there Susan, we still love ya (sic).”

Pooling resources for the good of the community and destination is vital in this ever-changing economic climate. To celebrate the value of teamwork between business and tourism, the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau (VCB) and the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Inc. are seeking nominations for the Chrysalis Awards to honor businesses and individuals who have positively impacted the local community.

Award nominations are due on March 12, and are open to any member of the local business community, regardless of whether or not they are directly a part of the tourism industry. Award recipients will be announced at a jointly hosted Celebration of Business & Tourism Awards Luncheon and Trade Show on May 20, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Harborside Event Center in downtown Fort Myers.

The new awards, designed to foster a stronger alliance between the tourism industry and the county’s business community, will honor recipients in the categories: Business Development, Eco-Innovation, Cultural Achievement, Education, Sports and Sales & Marketing. A seventh award category is the VCB’s longstanding Junonia Award, created to recognize those individuals who have positively impacted the local tourism community by demonstrating unique capabilities, leadership, commitment and dedication.

A panel of local business community leaders will judge nominations and select one award recipient in each of the six categories. And, as in past years, the Junonia will only be awarded at the sole discretion of the VCB.

Business and individual nominees for the six Chrysalis Awards will be judged on their innovation in their respective category, how they have distinguished themselves in the community, the results of their efforts to promote the destination, their contributions to business and tourism partnerships for the overall benefit of the county, and their work to foster growth and sustainability.

“We’re celebrating our work together to create stronger relationships that encourage new visitors and ultimately new businesses for our area,” said Marietta B. Mudgett, executive director of the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, whose organization initiated the joint program. “Tourism and business partnerships improve community growth, encourage vacationers to our destination, and create job opportunities for our citizens.”

INDIANAPOLIS — The N.F.L. could take the first steps toward changing its controversial overtime rules when the competition committee considers a rule that would give both teams a possession in overtime unless the team that receives the ball first scores a touchdown on the opening drive.

If it is approved, the rule, called “modified sudden death,” could be used in next year’s playoff games. The intent is to prevent a team from winning on a long field goal without giving the other team a possession, the way the New Orleans Saints beat the Minnesota Vikings in the N.F.C. championship game.

A rules change would have to be approved by at least 24 of the 32 owners during the league meetings in Orlando, Fla., in March. Approval seems like a long shot. During his pre-Super Bowl news conference, Commissioner Roger Goodell indicated the level of ambivalence about a rules change among owners and players.

“Frankly, in discussions with the players and coaches and all of our clubs, we haven’t been able to find a better solution,” Goodell said at his pre-Super Bowl news conference.

“We actually think the rule is designed to win games in regulation and that the players and the coaches all support the system. We’ll continue to look to see if there’s a better solution. But, I wouldn’t hold your breath on that solution.”

RYAN LAUGHS AT HIMSELF Jets Coach Rex Ryan took on the lighter side of his off-season misadventures — from wardrobe malfunctions to obscene gestures — at the scouting combine Saturday.

“I appreciate everybody’s interest in making sure that I was still in the papers and all those other things,” Ryan began. “The video — hey, I am working on those abs a little bit, I think.”

Ryan was referring to pictures of him changing a hockey jersey during a game. One jersey came off, a T-shirt rode up and, voila, Ryan’s belly was on a continuous reel in homes across America. That prompted a detour through Olympics analysis.

“I was at the hockey game — and first off, all I would like to say U.S.A., let’s go take care of business, really proud of the way they are playing — but what happened, I thought I had the fighting strap attached to the T-shirt,” Ryan said. “Apparently, I didn’t. Big mistake.”

There was more.

On the Jets’ brutal 2010 schedule: “You look at our division with New England and Miami and Buffalo, and I know Miami will be ticked because I never put them on top, but I really don’t care.”

Ryan turned serious when asked what happened in Sunrise, Fla., the night before the Pro Bowl, when he was captured on camera flashing an obscene gesture during a mixed martial arts event. Ryan, who was fined by the Jets, declined to reveal the circumstances of the incident.

“I made a mistake and I realized that,” Ryan said. “I have made a bunch of mistakes in my life. There is no question about it. Just add that to a big list. I am no Boy Scout and I don’t pretend to be. But I am certainly trying to mature a little bit more.”

Ryan may be the only thing that keeps the Jets in the headlines. Ryan says he anticipates very little roster turnover, although running back Thomas Jones seems likely to be released unless he decides to take a pay cut.

Ryan said quarterback Mark Sanchez, whose knee surgery is likely to keep him out of off-season workouts, is studying film from last season. Ryan said he expected the Jets to throw more next season.

Last year at this time, Ryan said he was making the development of Vernon Gholston, the linebacker who was drafted sixth over all in 2008, a personal project. Gholston is tiptoeing into bust territory, and in 2009 he was all but a nonfactor.

Ryan thought Gholston deserved more playing time in nickel packages and said that 2010 would be a make-or-break season for him.

Whatever happens with one of the N.F.L.’s most surprising teams, Ryan vowed to continue his strut through football.

“All last year, I used to go into New York all the time,” he said. “Nobody recognized me. I guess they assumed the head coach of the Jets wouldn’t be wearing a throwback. I am going to be who I am and I am still going to take the train into the city. And I am still going to go to sporting events even though it seems like I mess up all the time.”

After all the hype and precautions, the tsunami resulted in minor damage in Ventura and Santa Monica county.  The tsunami advisory was issued in major effect for Hawaiian Islands as well as California coast as a result of the 8.8 earthquake in Chile early this morning.

This the tide surge, along with the minus tides, has caused small amounts of damage in the Ventura harbor, such as boats disconnected from their docks. Brett Thompson, who spent the night on his 46-foot sailboat in the Ventura Harbor, reported his boat came unmoored, but was retrieved with no damage.

The Ventura Port District and the Ventura City Fire Department responded to multiple calls assisting homeowners in the Ventura Keys with boat docks breaking free of pilings. Fire Battalion Chief Matt Brock witnessed a series of waves that entered the harbor and ran through the waterways. Each wave was about two to three feet in hight with a remarkable drop in water level in between each wave. This was coupled with an unusual very low tide (-1.23 feet) which provided an interesting combination of events. Many residents remarked that they had never seen anything like this.

Coastal authorities are still on alert and asking those around beach areas  to be extra cautious.

SeaWorld in San Diego has canceled its Shamu whale show at least for Wednesday after an Orlando SeaWorld employee was killed in an encounter with a whale at that theme park.

“We’re terribly saddened by the loss of the member of our SeaWorld family, it doesn’t matter what park,” said SeaWorld San Diego spokesman David Koontz. “We have canceled our afternoon Shamu show here today.”

Koontz said park officials had yet to make a decision about to whether to cancel Thursday’s show.

Orlando SeaWorld officials are not revealing the identity of the victim, although a local TV station is reporting that a female employee was killed after she was grabbed by one of the theme park’s whales at the start of a public show. Park guest Victoria Biniak told the station that the trainer was a veteran of SeaWorld and had just finished explaining to the audience the show they were about to see.

At that point, Biniak said, the whale came up from the water and grabbed the woman.

“He was thrashing her around pretty good. It was violent,” Biniak said.
